Terms of Service - Qaden

Effective Date: 01 February 2026

1. Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the use of the Qaden application ("Qaden" or "the App"), a Forge-based app available via the Atlassian Marketplace and designed for Jira Cloud.

By installing or using Qaden, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, do not install or use the App.

2. Description of Service

Qaden provides multi-objective SLA automation for Jira Cloud, including timers, business calendar evaluation, notifications, and dashboards.

Qaden operates within Atlassian Forge infrastructure and interacts with Jira Cloud through permissions granted during installation.

Qaden does not operate external servers for core SLA processing.

3. Eligibility

You must be authorized to install and manage apps within your Jira Cloud instance.

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of Qaden complies with your organization's policies and applicable laws.

4. Customer Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Configuring objectives, calendars, and project mappings.
  • Granting appropriate permissions to the app.
  • Validating notification recipients and automation rules.
  • Ensuring SLA definitions reflect operational commitments.

Qaden computes SLA state based on the configuration supplied by administrators.

5. Security and Access

Qaden relies on Atlassian Forge security controls, including runtime isolation and permission-based access.

You are responsible for protecting administrative access to your Jira Cloud instance.

6. Support and Troubleshooting

To investigate technical issues, we may request configuration details or diagnostic metadata. We will not request full Jira issue content unless explicitly required and approved for troubleshooting.

You are responsible for reviewing any shared diagnostics before sending them to support.

7. Data Ownership

All Jira data processed by Qaden remains the property of the respective Jira Cloud instance owners.

Qaden does not claim ownership of customer data.

8. Data Processing

Qaden processes data only as required to evaluate objective state, timers, and notifications.

Qaden does not:

  • Sell customer data
  • Use customer data for advertising
  • Collect behavioral analytics

9. Service Availability

Qaden relies on Atlassian Forge and Jira Cloud infrastructure.

We are not responsible for outages, interruptions, or performance limitations caused by Atlassian platform availability.

We may update, modify, or improve Qaden functionality at any time.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

Qaden is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

We are not liable for:

  • Misconfiguration of objectives or calendars
  • Incorrect automation actions based on SLA configuration
  • Data loss resulting from incorrect administrative settings
  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

Total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the app subscription during the previous twelve (12) months.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Qaden team from claims arising out of:

  • Misuse of the App
  • Violation of these Terms
  • Unauthorized configuration of SLA objectives

12. Termination

You may terminate use of Qaden at any time by uninstalling the App.

Upon uninstallation, Forge-managed storage associated with the app will be removed according to Atlassian's platform lifecycle.

13. Modifications to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically.

Continued use of Qaden after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles.
